New To Us

Will I be Welcomed?

Yes, No matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here. All people are loved by God and are welcome in God’s house. We invite people of every race, nationality, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, ability, financial means, ethnic and spiritual background into the life of this congregation.

What time is the Sunday Service?

Sunday Service is at 10:00am and lasts about one hour.

What is the Worship style?

Our congregation comes from a wide range of denominational backgrounds, but our faith unites us, not divide us. We have a printed bulletin, so you know what’s next, when to stand or sit and when to sing. We have a choir and the congregation shares its musical gifts during service. The message is biblically based and is related to contemporary life. We share communion once a month and all are welcome to receive communion.

Families with Children!

Children are important and are welcome in the Sunday Service, or are invited to participate in church school which starts when the announced during the service. We have a nursery for babies and toddlers staffed by a certified child care worker; or a rocker and toys available for use during worship if your children need some TLC.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever makes you comfortable! For some people that means jeans and a t-shirt, for others it means dress or a jacket.

Is the church accessible to people with disabilities?

If you use a wheelchair or have any difficulty with steps, we have an elevator entrance to the right of the parking lot. Inside the door is the elevator which will take you to the Sanctuary. On Sunday morning, an operator is available to assist you with the elevator.

Location and Directions

We are located at 52 Sumner Avenue at the corner of Fort Pleasant St. directly across from Friendly’s.

Where do I park?

Our parking lot is located behind the church. There is also on street parking, and overflow parking is available across the street from the church in the back of the Friendly’s parking lot.

What happens after the Sunday Service?

After worship is over, we share Friendship Time where we offer coffee and light refreshments to enjoy in the Guild parlor or outside on pleasant days. It is a time to get to know one another and catch up.
